OST Group (EcoVille is a member company) is based on Spitak-1, a construction company founded in the 1980s.
It is currently one of the largest construction companies in the Republic of Armenia, specializing in infrastructural, commercial, industrial and residential sectors, particularly in the construction of water systems, hydropower and solar energy facilities, factories, office buildings, residential buildings and districts, as well as road construction.
The company is also a developer in residential and commercial sectors.
EcoVille became a member of OST Group in 2005. Later on, OST Group launched its first hydropower project in the same year.
The company currently operates hydropower plants with a total installed capacity of approximately 30.9 MW, producing an average of 110 million kWh of electricity per year.
During the implementation of the projects, the company cooperated with such influential well-known financial organizations as KFW Bank (within the framework of the German-Armenian Renewable Energy Fund), as well as technical consulting companies Lahmeyer Group and Fichtner GmbH.
To meet the needs of the market, as well as the energy needs of the population, OST Group expanded its activities to include the fields of solar energy and energy efficiency.
As a result, EcoVille Solar Technology was founded in 2015.
The company introduces solar photovoltaic systems and water heaters for residential, commercial, and industrial-scale applications.
It is engaged in import, sale, and installation of solar systems.
It implements site survey, design, warranty and post-warranty services, system automation and grounding.
✓ EcoVille Solar Technology officially started partnership with Ejai Kitchen & Bath, a leading manufacturer of solar water heaters.
✓ EcoVille became a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia.
✓ New partnerships were started with two leading companies in their fields: SunPower, an American company that manufactures premium solar panels, and Fronius, an Austrian company that manufactures premium solar inverters.
✓ Ecoville became an official partner of SunPower, as well as a sales and service partner of Fronius International and henceforth, it is authorized to provide warranty and post-warranty service for Fronius inverters, and as well as sale of invertors.
✓ EcoVille also became a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility NGO in Armenia.
✓ The world's leading manufacturer of solar panels, JA Solar, a Tier 1 manufacturer, and EcoVille became official partners.
✓ JA Solar panels are used in projects of mass demand.
In 2018, JA Solar was recognized as the industry leader by PV-Tech Solar Media Limited in the production of its solar panels.
✓ Understanding the need to train qualified specialists in the field of solar energy, a cooperation agreement was signed in Shushi between the Yeznik Mozyan Vocational School - EPYM and EcoVille Solar Technologies.
✓ In 2019, like the previous 3 years, EcoVille’s partner, Ginlong Solis was named as the "Leading Inverter Brand" by the prestigious EuPD Photovoltaic Technology Research Center.
✓ Branches were opened in the regions of Armenia: Vanadzor, Spitak, Gyumri, Hrazdan, Armavir, Yeghegnadzor, Artashat, and Vardenis.
✓ In 2019, the EcoVille team installed more than 200 solar photovoltaic systems.
✓ In 2020, more than 60 MW of solar power plants were put into operation alongside 3000 water heaters.
Due to these projects, the amount of carbon dioxide will be reduced by 50,000 tons per year, which is equivalent to carbon dioxides absorbed by 2 500 000 trees.
✓ Within the framework of the initiative to provide social assistance to needy families, assistance was provided to more than 300 families, visiting many communities in Armenia, including SOS Children's Villages Armenia.
✓ A series of business seminars on "Solar energy savings with EcoVille - from savings to income" was held.
✓ EcoVille participated in the joint program of the UN Development Program, the Global Environment Facility (UNDP-GEF), and the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia, installing solar systems in Dzoragyugh School and Preschool.
✓ During the war, the company, in addition to human and financial resources, also participated with a new technical investment. In a short period, a stand-alone solar-powered electricity system, Arega, was developed that could provide electricity in frontlines without electricity access.
✓ The first investment was the EcoVille store that was opened in Garage Masters' Mall, where solar accessories are presented: chargers, outdoor & indoor lighting lamps, solar toys, etc.
✓ The second investment is dealership of electric cars.
Volta Motors was created, which undertook the mission of presenting the best energy-saving, clean-energy cars.
✓ EcoVille opened its first branch outside Armenia. The company set up a brand in Georgia, which is rapidly entering the Georgian market and best represents the company's traditions.
✓ A new solar company was launched in the USA, Solarify, which will contribute the experience and knowledge of EcoVille to both minor and major projects in the United States.
✓ Total design and installation capacity exceeded 70 megawatts, and the number of installed water heaters exceeded 6000.
In 2022, there was a significant expansion in the design, installation, and operation capacities of Solar PV systems.
The Georgian branch actively worked on installations in over 50 villages in the Adjara and Akhalkalaki regions for companies like Coppoliva and Radisson Hotel.
EcoVille gained new partnerships, collaborating with leading companies such as SolaX and AP Solar.
In 2023, EcoVille experienced a new phase of development, with a major investment from the Amber Capital Armenia fund. This investment acted as a catalyst for initiating even more ambitious projects.
Additionally, 17 MW of PV plants were installed, bringing the total capacity to 150 MW, and around 7000 solar water heaters were installed.
Productive visits and achievements in Germany, Romania, Kazakhstan, China, and Lithuania also marked 2023.
Furthermore, EcoVille became the official representative of the Chinese Skywell electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Armenia.
